IHSAC VOTE UNANIMOUS: REESE BELONGS ON NATIONAL REGISTER

We are elated to bring you good news from the Illinois capital of Springfield.  Today, the Illinois Historic Sites Advisory Council (IHSAC) voted unanimously in a roll-call vote to support our nomination of the Michael Reese Hospital Campus to the National Register of Historic Places.

ALERT: Demolition Begins on Gropius's Power Plant

With profound regret, we inform you that the Michael Reese Hospital Power Plant is now being demolished.  Alas, there will be no equivalent of the Tate Modern in Chicago as many had hoped.  Instead, more of the same:  Destruction and visionless waste.

ALERT: Demolition Begins on Gropius's Serum Center

Demolition of the the Michael Reese Hospital Serum Center, alternately known as the Levinson Building and Michael Reese Research Foundation, commenced today, November 16th.  One of the South Side’s most important buildings, the Gropius in Chicago Coalition is appalled and ashamed to report this disgraceful act of cultural robbery.
